What We Believe
About the Bible: We believe that the Bible is the Word of God given to man.
About God: We believe that there is only one true God and that He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
About Jesus: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Both God and man, He lived a sinless life, was crucified and buried, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and today sits at the right hand of God the Father as our intercessor.
About Sin and Salvation: We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Forgiveness, grace, and salvation (new life), however, are freely offered to anyone who believes in and accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
About the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who works to glorify Jesus Christ, to convict sinful humanity, and sanctify, encourage, teach and strengthen believers. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a special gift for all believers. Further, we believe in the operation of all the gifts of the Spirit listed in the Word of God.
About Baptism and Communion: We believe each believer, following the example and commandment of Christ, should experience water baptism (by immersion) in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This is an outward testimony of inner change. We believe in celebrating Communion, or the Lord's Supper, in remembrance of the sacrifice Jesus made for us and in anticipation of His second coming.
About the Church: We believe that the Church is a family with Christ as the Head. It is people, not a place. Its purposes are to worship God; to build relationships; to declare the good news of Jesus Christ; to disciple all believers in growing relationships with Jesus Christ; and to minister love and care to those who are in need.
About Stewardship: Recognizing that God is the Source of all blessings, we believe that all believers should serve Him with their time, talents and material possessions.
About Last Things: We believe, according to His promise that Jesus Christ will return to the earth; the dead will be raised; and all living believers will be raptured away to be with Him.
